Team vs. Workspace Access
Invitations always operate at the team level — the invitee joins the team first, then receives access to the specified workspaces. There is no way to invite someone to a workspace without also adding them to the team.| What happens | Details |
|---|---|
| Invitee joins the team | Added with the selected team role (member or admin). |
| Invitee joins workspaces | Added to each selected workspace with its own role (admin, editor, or viewer). |
| Existing team member | If someone is already on the team, use Add Member in workspace settings instead. |
