April 2026

Container resource monitoring

Live CPU and RAM usage bars in the task terminal header. Bars show real-time container utilization with color-coded thresholds.

Workspace sidebar reordering

Drag-and-drop reordering for workspaces in the sidebar rail. Order persists across sessions.

Task drag-and-drop improvements

Subtasks can now be dragged to top-level positions or into another parent task’s child list.

Claude reasoning effort

Claude tasks now support a reasoning effort setting (Low, Medium, High, Max) independent of fast mode. Max effort is available for Claude Opus 4.6 only.

Auth and reliability hardening

Improved auth session refresh, terminal reconnection speed, and runtime death detection.

March 2026

Mintlify documentation site

Full user-facing documentation now available covering all Whim features — tasks, billing, collaboration, integrations, and more.

Orchestrator mode improvements

Strengthened orchestrator prompt to wait for subtask reports before proceeding, with clearer guidance on child vs. top-level task scoping.

SEO and discoverability

Improved Google Search appearance with full metadata, Open Graph previews, and favicons.

February 2026

Runtime reliability hardening

Five-change platform hardening for runtime-death detection — fast-fail dead terminal runtimes, scoped offline detection, and stale exit cleanup.

Terminal reconnection improvements

Faster terminal reconnects with rush-reconnect mode and lowered backoff timers. Scoped connection timers per terminal to prevent cross-task interference.

Port preview visibility setting

New workspace setting to control port preview visibility and access.

January 2026

Alpha launch

Invite-based sign-up flow with admin dashboard, access emails on admit, and alpha whitelist management.

Auth hardening

Cookie bootstrap fallback with hardened TTL and project validation. Rate-limited auth bootstrap grants with encrypted payloads and origin validation.

Orchestrator task auto-assignment

Launched tasks are now auto-assigned to the launching user.

Workspace image improvements

Fixed orphaned workspace image queue gaps and image validation recovery.
